The Pantheon was first commissioned by Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa during the reign of Augustus (27 B.C. – 14 A.D.) and rebuilt by the emperor Hadrian around 125 A.D. The Pantheon continues to remain one of the greatest architectural and engineering feats of the Roman history. Almost two thousand years after being built, the Pantheon’s dome is still the world’s largest un-reinforced concrete dome.
